Bus-bar Heat Shrinkable Tube

The use of Bus-bar Heat Shrinkable Tube needs to be prepared in advance:

1. Must be able to understand the installation and configuration drawings of copper bars, according to the drawings to prepare the required copper bars, installation personnel must have the knowledge of copper bar connection.

2. Prepare a heat gun, scissors, and heat shrink tube based on the copper bar specifications.

The technical requirements:


1. The specification of the heat shrink tube should be carefully selected. The most suitable casing must be selected to ensure that there is no deformation, warping, distortion and other phenomena after heat shrink, and it must be flat and close to the copper bar.

2. Check whether the heat shrink tubing is damaged after shrinkage.

3. The words on the heat shrink tubing of the copper bar connected to the circuit breaker should face inward. No words can be seen during installation.

Technological process:


1. Prepare the following tools and materials: heat shrink tubie, copper bar, scissors, heat gun, blade (telescopic), and steel ruler.

2. Prepare copper bars and heat shrink tubes according to the drawing.

3. Handle the busbar well and arrange the busbar heat shrink pipe at the corner to prevent wrinkles.

4. The treated busbar is placed on a clean and soft platform to prevent scratches, and it will be trimmed after cooling.

5. Remove burrs and sharp corners on the bus bars to prevent cracks caused by puncturing the heat shrink pipe during the retracting process of the bus exhaust heat shrink pipe.

6. The main exhaust heat shrink tube can be used in any method, such as constant temperature oven, propane lamp, liquid gas flame, gasoline blowtorch and industrial electric heating air gun.

7. Before using the busbar heat shrink pipe, it is necessary to clean the grease of the busbar connection part with quick-drying cleaning agent in advance, and then the heat shrink pipe can be set on the busbar.

8. When casing, the incision should be neat and smooth, no burrs or cracks can be produced, so as to avoid stress concentration caused by heating and contraction, leading to rupture.

9. When the hair dryer or LPG spray gun is used, it must be heated evenly from one end to the other end or heated evenly from the middle to both ends until the heat shrink tube of the parent exhaust shrinks. Can not be heated from both ends to the middle, resulting in air bulging phenomenon.

10. Hot air publish or perish (general temperature 400 ℃ ~ 600 ℃) and all kinds of blue flame heating tool (above 800 ℃), must pay attention to fire and bus heat shrinkable tube, namely 4 ~ 5 cm even move, the flame of the surface of the outer flame and heat shrinkable tube 45 Angle, but also to move while heating, not too close to the surface of the casing or heating concentrated in one place, To avoid uneven thickness or burn casing.

11. In the oven, the uniform heating retraction temperature is between 100℃ and 130℃, and the time is 5-10 minutes. For buses with larger specifications, the time is 20 to 30 minutes. After 3~5 minutes of baking, remove and cool, and cut around 10mm away from the edge of the lap surface as required to cut off the busbar heat shrink tube inside the lap surface.

12. After the heat shrink, the surface of the bus exhaust heat shrink tube shall be clean and smooth, and the contraction shall be uniform. There shall be no scorching, fading, bubbles, cracking on the surface of the bus exhaust heat shrink tube, no wrinkles at the bending, and no scratch on the surface.
