Application of Heat Shrinkable Compound Tube in cable accessories

35kV and below heat shrinkable termination cable accessories are mainly composed of heat shrinkable stress control tube, outdoor insulation tube, rainshed, breakout, etc. The traditional technology is to shrink and install the above heat shrink fittings on the cable respectively.

In the traditional process, different materials of stress control tube, outdoor insulation tube mixing, extrusion, although the production process is relatively simple, high material utilization rate, irradiation, expansion process can also be independently controlled, but in the cable terminal installation after the electrical experiment will appear low power frequency voltage resistance, large partial discharge and other defects. This is mainly due to the stress control tube and outdoor insulation tube respectively heat shrink installation, there is an interface and gap between the two layers, due to the existence of large partial discharge this fatal weakness.
The Heat Shrinkable Compound Tube is suitable for heat shrinkable power cable straight through joint, which can replace the combination of insulation tube and semi-conductive tube, effectively eliminate the gap between layers, and improve the operation reliability of the straight through joint.
