A cold shrink tube is an open rubber tube made primarily of rubber elastomers with high performance physical properties that has been factory-expanded or pre-stretched and assembled onto a supported detachable plastic core. When the support core is removed during installation, the cold shrink tube shrinks. The electrician slides the tube over the cable to be connected, bonded, or discarded, and then pulls the plastic core to shrink the tube into place against the cable.
Cold shrink tubes are used to insulate wires, connectors, connectors, and terminals in electrical work. It can also be used to repair electrical wires, tie wires together, and protect wires or small parts from slight wear and tear. It needs to be stored in a controlled environment at no more than 43 degrees Celsius.
The advantage of cold shrink tubes is a high performance long-term environmental seal even in extreme conditions. Tool-free installation reduces downtime, installation time, and training requirements.
Cold shrinkable tube because it does not need heating can be easily installed on the cable, in recent years by the majority of power installation enterprises and communication base station installation related enterprises welcome, there are a variety of cold shrinkable tube used in the field of power and communication, such as cold shrinkable cable terminal, cold shrinkable intermediate connector, EPDM cold shrinkable tube, silicone cold shrinkable tube, with mud cold shrinkable tube.
