The main chain of EPDM is saturated, which makes it resistant to heat, sunlight and ozone. Ethylene propylene diene rubber is essentially non-polar, resistant to polar solutions and chemicals, low water absorption, and has good insulation characteristics.

3. Excellent chemical resistance, acid, alkali, detergent, animal and plant oils, alcohols, ketones, etc.; Excellent resistance to water, hot water and steam; Resistance to polar oils.
5. Suitable for a wide range of temperature, the lowest use temperature -40 ~ -60℃, can be used for a long time under the condition of 130℃.
It can also be seen from the above data that the cold shrink tube made by EPDM has excellent electrical performance, good mechanical performance, excellent physical and chemical performance, and relatively cheap raw materials. Relative to silica gel shrinkage tube, it can only be made of solid raw rubber, shrinkage ratio and resilience to be poor, insulation performance is not as good as silica gel, especially in the field of high pressure, while the production process is complex and the cost is relatively high, the market application accounts for a relatively small, the overall cost is much higher than the silica gel shrinkage tube.
