Installation and acceptance of Heat Shrinkable Cable Accessories

The Heat Shrinkable Cable Accessories is one of the important parts in the transmission system. The quality of Heat Shrinkable Cable Accessories is related to the safe operation of power grid. 1. When installing the Heat Shrinkable Termination Kit and Heat Shrinkable Straight Through Joint, perform continuous operation from peeling the cable until complete, and shorten the insulation exposure time. When peeling a cable, do not damage the cable core or the reserved insulation layer.
2.Insulation, moisture proof, and mechanical protection measures should be taken for the Heat Shrinkable Termination Kit and Heat Shrinkable Straight Through Joint. Effective measures should be taken to improve the concentration of electric field at the shielded end of the 6kV-20kV power cable termination and straight through joint, and the distance between the outer insulation and the ground should be ensured.
3.When the cable core is connected, oil and oxide layer should be removed from the inner wall of the cable core and connecting tube. The lug or furrule should match the fixture. The compression ratio should meet the requirements. After crimping, the convex mark on the lug or ferrule should be repaired and polished smooth without residual burr.
4.The metal shielding layer (or metal sheath) and armored layer of the cables on both sides of the three-core power cable joint should be properly connected without interruption, and the cross section area of the jumper cable should not be less than the value specified in the following table. The metal shell of the directly buried cable joint and the metal protective layer of the cable should be treated with anti-corrosion.
5.The metal armoring layer at the end of the three-core cable should be well connected, and the copper shielding and armoring of each phase of the plastic cable should be tin welding ground wire. When the cable passes through the zero-sequence current transformer, the cable metal cover and ground cable should be insulated from the ground. When the cable ground point is below the transformer, the ground cable should be directly grounded. When the cable ground point is above the transformer, the ground cable should pass back to the transformer.
